Daewoo Engineering & Construction (047040.KS) has conveyed its interest in participating in Vietnam’s nuclear power projects as it expands its energy-market presence. Chairman Chung Won-ju met Vietnamese Industry and Trade Minister Le Manh Hung in South Korea on the 26th and discussed cooperation on nuclear plants and liquefied natural gas terminals, the builder said on the 27th. Daewoo E&C said it was the only domestic builder visited by the Vietnamese delegation during its three-day trip and plans to work with local companies on workforce training, technology cooperation and supply-chain development from the bidding stage.
