Binance founder CZ advised university students not to rush into entrepreneurship, recommending two to five years at a strong large company first, with two years as the minimum. Drawing on his four years at Bloomberg, he said large companies provide management systems that graduates cannot encounter by starting a business immediately after university. CZ also urged young people to develop a specialized skill, arguing that global competition makes broad abilities such as programming difficult to distinguish. Reaching the top 1% or even 0.1% worldwide, he said, could produce returns several, dozens or hundreds of times greater than those earned by others, while the treatment of the first-ranked person can differ sharply from that of the second.
