OpenPayd has integrated with Circle Payments Network (CPN), allowing businesses to send and receive fiat currencies through OpenPayd’s existing financial infrastructure while regulated stablecoins handle settlement in the background. CPN, operated by Circle Technology Services, connects participating financial institutions and coordinates cross-border payment flows using stablecoins such as USDC and EURC. The integration supports near-instant settlement across corridors including euros to Brazilian real and pounds sterling to Mexican pesos, without requiring businesses to build or operate blockchain infrastructure. Circle’s Irfan Ganchi said the connection enables fiat settlement through a single API while reducing the complexity of managing multiple payment technologies. OpenPayd’s Michael Treacy said clients can use stablecoin infrastructure without changing the fiat currencies used for global payments, while programmable money and software-like settlement may support digital-economy growth. Founded in 2018, OpenPayd serves more than 1,200 businesses and processes over $280 billion in annual volumes. The launch expands its financial infrastructure, which connects businesses to domestic payment rails, international banking networks and stablecoin infrastructure through one integration.
