Coinbase’s cbBTC reaches Robinhood Chain through Chainlink CCIP

Coinbase’s Bitcoin-backed token cbBTC is expanding to Robinhood Chain through Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), which Coinbase designated as the exclusive cross-chain infrastructure for its wrapped-asset suite. Chainlink said on Aug. 27 that cbBTC had more than $7.5 billion in circulation. The integration could support lending markets, liquidity pools, vaults and derivatives on Robinhood Chain, although those applications are potential use cases rather than confirmation that each is already live. Robinhood Chain launched on July 1, 2026, using Arbitrum Orbit technology and Chainlink as its official data and cross-chain oracle provider. CCIP also connects Robinhood Chain with Base and follows Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token standard for transferring supported assets. The deployment expands distribution for cbBTC while giving Robinhood Chain access to an established Bitcoin-backed asset, but actual activity will depend on adoption by users and applications.
