Ethereum balances on exchanges fell about 18%, from roughly 7.69 million to 6.28 million coins between June 3 and August 27, a reduction of about 1.4 million ETH, as Santiment data showed outflows continuing during a roughly 30% price gain rather than a selloff. Another 275,000 ETH left exchanges after August 19, while ETH’s share of supply on exchanges reached about 3.717%. Bitcoin moved in the opposite direction over the same period: exchange balances rose about 0.25% and its exchange share climbed to roughly 6.65% from a July 28 low of 6.50%, even as BTC gained about 26%. Since June 3, ETH rose about 34.74% versus 11.91% for BTC. Crypto analyst Credible Crypto said Ethereum could reach $20,000 over the next few years, based on scenarios involving its historical range, the ETH/BTC ratio and Bitcoin’s price. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $202 million in net outflows on August 28, ending a nine-day inflow streak, while Ethereum ETFs attracted $102 million and extended their positive streak to 10 business days. Newer reporting put the Bitcoin funds’ cumulative inflows during that streak at $3.04 billion, while an earlier account cited more than $3.5 billion.
