Woolpert has appointed Jen Sorenson as executive vice president for infrastructure, effective from its Austin, Texas, office. Sorenson brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across architecture, engineering and construction, including infrastructure programs in transportation, water, federal and municipal markets. She will lead Woolpert’s multidisciplinary infrastructure group, overseeing organic and acquisition-led growth, strategic initiatives, operational improvements, investment and business development. Before joining Woolpert, Sorenson held leadership roles at AtkinsRéalis, AECOM and Atlas, most recently serving as senior vice president for infrastructure at Atlas, where she led a major division covering the western United States and a team of more than 800 employees. Woolpert President and CEO Neil Churman said her collaborative leadership would support the company’s continued growth. Sorenson said Woolpert’s people-focused culture, innovation agenda and emphasis on client success matched her leadership approach.
