President Donald Trump’s Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin distributed $1 million in non-equity grants to 10 U.S. businesses through the roughly three-month America First Business Challenge, which concluded on August 26, 2026. Announced in April at conferences held at Mar-a-Lago, the program drew 616 applications and gave preliminary approval to 36 companies. The awards comprised one $250,000 grant, six $100,000 grants and three $50,000 grants. Applicants had to connect digital wallets holding TRUMP to participate in the selection and voting process, while recipients must sell the tokens on secondary markets to convert them into fiat because the asset has no vendor, payroll or traditional commercial payment integration. The project describes TRUMP as an expression of support rather than an investment contract. Only 250.9 million of the 1 billion-token cap was circulating as of August 27, while CIC Digital LLC and Fight Fight Fight LLC controlled 80% of the locked supply and collected transaction fees. TRUMP’s average daily trading volume was $642 million and its price was $2.74, up 25% over 24 hours but still 96.3% below its January 2025 peak after reaching $1.37 on August 13, 2026. The 10 recipients have not been publicly identified, so their on-chain transfers cannot yet be verified.
