JetBlue Airways said two board members appointed under its 2024 agreement with activist investor Icahn Enterprises, Jesse Lynn and Steven Miller, will step down immediately. The deal helped the airline avoid a proxy fight after Carl Icahn disclosed a roughly 10% stake, which has since declined to 3.32%, according to LSEG data. Lynn is general counsel of Icahn Enterprises, while Miller is a portfolio manager at Icahn Capital. After their departures, JetBlue’s board will have 11 members, 10 of them independent. Icahn said the firms had maintained a constructive partnership as JetBlue reshaped the airline and pursued its JetForward strategy.
