Bitcoin’s move above $80,000 has revived South Korean investment interest in virtual-asset-related products. Domestic investors net-bought $44.67 million of Bitmain, an Ethereum DAT (digital-asset treasury) company and the world’s largest holder of Ethereum, from the 24th to the 27th, making it their seventh-most purchased overseas stock. They also bought $18.96 million of the Volatility Shares 2x Eth Tr ETF and $10.09 million of the 2x Bitcoin Strategy ETF, both designed to deliver twice the daily returns of their underlying assets. Additional inflows went to stablecoin issuer Circle ($27.34 million) and virtual-asset exchange Coinbase ($14.92 million). The activity suggests renewed demand among Seohak ants, or Korean retail investors buying foreign stocks, amid expectations of a further virtual-asset rebound and possible digital-asset-friendly policies from the Trump administration ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.
