Devsisters shares rose 10.97% to ₩18,000 on the KOSDAQ market at 9:31 a.m. on August 28 after Cookie Run: Crumble surpassed ₩20 billion ($14.5 million) in cumulative revenue and 2.5 million users within about a month of its global July 30 launch. Developed by Devsisters' in-house Studio Kingdom, the mobile idle RPG uses the Cookie Run intellectual property, which has 300 million cumulative users worldwide, and has attracted many players new to the franchise. An August 27 update adding new cookies including the TSSR-grade Bright Seeker Cookie, guild raids and expanded main stages helped the game reach or return to No. 2 on South Korea's real-time Apple App Store revenue chart. The performance has raised expectations for a second-half turnaround after approximately ₩33.5 billion ($24.4 million) in first-half operating losses, although sustained retention remains uncertain as launch revenue may moderate.
