South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism began enforcing sweeping anti-scalping regulations Friday, allowing administrative penalties of up to 50 times a reseller's total sales. The measures amend the Performance Act Enforcement Decree and the National Sports Promotion Act Enforcement Decree, and introduce cash rewards for people who report violations. The decrees took effect six months after the parent statutes were revised in February. Existing provisions say tipsters may receive rewards of up to half the penalty imposed on a scalper.
