Coinbase's newly launched US500 index perpetual futures contract surpassed $100 million in 24-hour trading volume within a week of its debut, Chief Executive Officer Brian Armstrong said in an Aug. 28 post on X. Launched on Aug. 17, the product provides exposure to the U.S. large-cap stock market through an index tied to 500 U.S. companies and can be traded in the United States. Armstrong said the early volume showed strong momentum and asked users which index perpetual futures products Coinbase should offer next.
