Woori Financial Savings Bank has signed an agreement with Viva Republica, operator of the mobile finance platform Toss, to launch VitaWON BIZ, a non-face-to-face credit loan for sole proprietors with a limit of up to 30 million won, or about $22,000. Applications are available exclusively through Credit Loan Finder, Toss's in-app credit loan comparison service. The bank will integrate Toss SOHO Score, an alternative model jointly developed by Viva Republica and Korea Data (KoDATA), into its existing personal credit evaluation system. The model consolidates financial information from multiple institutions and considers a business owner's actual revenue and cash flow, potentially enabling lower interest rates for prime borrowers. Woori Financial Savings Bank said the initiative will support more precise underwriting and expand access for mid- and low-credit business owners, including those without collateral or long operating histories.
