Charles Schwab said Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink will become available in Schwab Crypto accounts in the coming months, expanding the platform beyond bitcoin and ether, which it has carried since its May rollout. The announcement came as Bitcoin traded above $80,000 and the three newly named tokens outperformed Schwab's existing assets: Solana rose 12.9%, Chainlink 5.5% and Avalanche 3.6%, versus gains of 2.1% for bitcoin and 1.5% for ether. Bitcoin last traded at $80,020, up 2.1% in 24 hours and 10.4% over seven days. The broader crypto market was valued at $2.79 trillion, with $99.4 billion in volume and bitcoin dominance of 57.6%. Separately, Ethena proposed activating its $ENA fee switch, Solana opened its first on-chain validator governance vote, and DeFi Development Corp. bought about 19,000 SOL. Markets were also influenced by upcoming Bitcoin options expiries, macroeconomic data and expectations surrounding the Federal Reserve and the CLARITY Act.
