AAVE’s price rose from $87.54 to $145.09 in under five days, breaking through the $130 resistance zone that had been active since February 2026. The rally was supported by Bitcoin’s momentum and a significant increase in Aave V4 deposits, which surpassed $800 million. Aave V4, the fourth-generation version of the decentralized finance (DeFi) lending protocol, had already recorded a roughly 30% weekly increase in total value locked (TVL) and expanded 16-fold in about four months after its early May 2025 mainnet launch. The upgrade introduced enhanced risk management, improved capital efficiency and a more modular architecture. An earlier market snapshot put AAVE at $128.24, up 3.13%, according to CoinMarketCap. Higher deposits can improve liquidity and potentially lending rates, but users remain exposed to smart contract vulnerabilities, market volatility and liquidity risks.
