Preparations for the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) have been essentially completed, with the Beijing event expected to attract exhibitors from more than 90 countries and international organizations and over 1,800 companies from Sept. 9 to 13. The fair will highlight financial technology, digital and smart healthcare, energy conservation and environmental protection, while adding fields to support Chinese companies seeking overseas expansion. Its Environment and Energy Services Section, upgraded from the former Environmental Services section, will feature zones for new energy and low-carbon energy services, circular economy and smart urban services, and advanced new materials innovation, alongside a new urban modern agriculture segment. China’s services trade totaled 3.8 trillion yuan, or about $560.4 billion, in the first half of 2026, up 8.3% year on year, while services exports rose 17.6%.
