The 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo opened in Guiyang, the capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, on August 28, 2026. The state-level digital industry event is themed "Token: A New Path to Value of Data Elements" and features five sections covering computing power infrastructure, data supply, model-driven development, security assurance and intelligent experience. More than 300 exhibitors from China and overseas are participating across artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data security and digital applications. Guiyang and Gui'an New Area, the expo's permanent host region, have built a substantial digital infrastructure base with 26 large-scale or above data centers and total computing capacity exceeding 174 EFLOPS. Intelligent computing represents more than 98% of that capacity, while the area's average PUE (power usage effectiveness) is 1.19. Software and information technology services revenue in the area has surpassed 100 billion yuan, supporting the region's stated aim of sustaining high-quality growth in China's digital economy.
