Amazon shares gained approximately 4% on Friday, starting at $266.43, after Evercore ISI analyst Mark Mahaney raised his price target to $355 from $315. The updated account differs from the existing record, which placed the same-day move at 3.49% to $265.21. Evercore survey data showed Amazon reaching 92% penetration among U.S. online shoppers, 76% customer satisfaction and continued Prime loyalty despite a potential $20 annual fee increase. Among Alexa AI users, 57% said they bought products they had not previously known about. Same-day delivery adoption recovered to 49%, and Prime customers using the service spent 3.1 times more than non-Prime shoppers. AWS plans to deploy 2 million Nvidia GPUs using Blackwell Ultra and Rubin architectures during 2027 and 2028, taking disclosed semiconductor procurement to roughly 3 million units. Amazon reported second-quarter earnings per share of $5.75 versus an estimate of $1.82, while revenue rose 19.6% year over year to $200.61 billion. AWS revenue increased 37% to $42.2 billion and operating income reached $16.6 billion. Amazon’s AI and semiconductor businesses each exceeded a $25 billion annualized revenue run rate.
