Pinterest shares fell as much as 3.8% in Friday after-hours trading after the company said Chief Financial Officer Julia Brau Donnelly has resigned and will remain in the role through October 30, 2026, to support an orderly handover. Donnelly is leaving for an opportunity at a private, early-stage company, according to an internal memo from CEO Bill Ready, and the regulatory filing said the move was not tied to any disagreement over operations, policies, accounting principles, or practices. Vikram Naidu, vice president of finance and business operations since March 2024, will serve as principal financial officer on an interim basis starting October 30 while Pinterest conducts an external search; the company has not set a timeline for naming a permanent successor. Donnelly joined Pinterest in 2023 from Wayfair, and her tenure included the acquisition of connected-TV advertising platform tvScientific and a $4 billion cloud-services partnership with Amazon Web Services. Ready credited her leadership with supporting 11 consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth, stronger operating rigor and wider margins, even as the company earlier this month forecast slower third-quarter revenue growth amid intensifying digital-advertising competition from larger platforms including Meta’s Instagram.
