Unit xyz, a tokenization protocol in the Hyperliquid ecosystem, is buying $15 million worth of HYPE on Coinbase, Hyperliquid News said. If completed, the purchase would bring Unit xyz’s total holdings to 1 million HYPE. Earlier reporting described the transaction as being funded through Coinbase Prime and executed using a TWAP strategy. The existing report also said 500,000 HYPE used for HIP-3 staking cannot be reused for HIP-4, putting the combined requirement for both launches at 1 million HYPE, valued at about $80 million.
