Jupiter’s card-issuing partner, Rain, halted withdrawals while it completed security checks, then reopened them after the review cleared. Jupiter said no accounts were affected, card payments continued throughout, and users’ on-chain wallets and funds were never at risk. The episode came during a difficult week for Solana card programs, as Tria resolved a separate balance issue and said it would compensate affected users, while Avici pledged full refunds after an incident involving its card-issuing partner. Ether.fi and KAST said they were unaffected. The events highlight the counterparty risk that crypto-card users face through issuing partners and payment processors, even when assets remain in self-custody wallets.
