ChangXin Memory Technologies filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Defense Department in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Aug. 28, U.S. Eastern time, alleging it was improperly included on the Chinese military companies list. The company was first added to the list in January 2025. ChangXin said it is not a military enterprise and only develops and manufactures DRAM (dynamic memory for working data) products for commercial and civilian applications, with no military use.
