Global NFT sales fell 44.70% to approximately $63.33 million in the seven days captured by CryptoSlam on Aug. 29, down from about $114.5 million in the comparable prior period. Transactions declined 14.13% to 802,330, while buyer addresses rose 30.48% to 227,316 and seller addresses climbed 54.64% to 247,373. These figures represent blockchain addresses, not confirmed individual users. Ethereum led organic NFT sales with $35.56 million despite a 49.01% decline, followed by Bitcoin at $8.68 million after a 59.53% drop. Polygon, Base, BNB Chain and Solana completed the six leading networks, which together generated about $59.56 million, or 94% of global organic sales. Solana was the only one of those six to post growth, rising 11.17% to $1.91 million. Polygon recorded $18.19 million in wash trading, separate from its $7.03 million in organic sales. Polygon-based Courtyard led collections with $6.09 million, while a $X@AGI BRC-20 NFT produced the largest individual sale at $2.14 million. Four of the five biggest transactions came from that collection, concentrating much of its weekly performance in a small number of Bitcoin NFT trades. The NFT decline coincided with a broader crypto-market pullback, but the available data does not establish a direct causal relationship.
