Rakuten Wallet said its Securities Investment Academy event in Fukuoka on September 12 will include a presentation by Matsuda, a senior analyst at Rakuten Wallet, and a giveaway of physical SHIB coins at the exchange’s booth. SHIB holders can qualify by showing a screenshot of their holdings in Rakuten Wallet. The metal souvenirs, first created in July, have no technical connection to the Shiba Inu blockchain and use sandblasting, or a blast finish. Rakuten Wallet said it planned additional seminars in Sapporo and Osaka in October, where the coins will also be distributed. The exchange added SHIB in April, allowing millions of Japanese users to convert Rakuten Points into SHIB and spend it through Rakuten Pay at 5 million retail locations nationwide. In June, it also launched a dedicated SHIB video titled "Understanding SHIB," undertaken by senior analyst Matsuda. SHIB was down 3.61% over 24 hours at $0.0000051, while the altcoin season index stood at 33/100, indicating a market still dominated by Bitcoin.
