The Dallas Cowboys agreed to acquire offensive tackle Broderick Jones from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a trade involving three 2027 draft picks, pending a physical. Dallas will receive Jones and Pittsburgh's 2027 fourth-round pick in exchange for 2027 third- and sixth-round selections, ESPN reported. Jones, Pittsburgh's first-round pick in 2023, made 38 starts over three years and played both tackle positions, but worked with the reserves during the preseason. The Steelers drafted Max Iheanachor 21st overall in April for right tackle, where he has competed with fifth-year veteran Dylan Cook, while 2024 first-round pick Troy Fautanu has worked at left tackle. Former Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is entering his first season as Steelers coach. Dallas used Terence Steele as its primary right tackle last season and has been pleased with 2024 first-round pick Tyler Guyton at left tackle during the preseason. If Jones takes over at right tackle, the Cowboys could have four first-round picks starting around center Cooper Beebe.
