The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on August 30 that it had donated 200 million Korean won to support victims of major flooding in Nepal’s Bagmati Province on August 26. The donation is scheduled to be delivered through the Korean Red Cross and will fund temporary shelters, relief supplies, and medical and food assistance. The floods caused deaths and left people missing, while nine South Korean nationals have been out of contact for five days. President Hwang Ki-yeon expressed condolences to the Nepalese people and said he hoped the support would help affected residents restore their daily lives and that those missing would return safely.
