China’s CXMT said its LPDDR6 mobile DRAM had officially entered mass production and would debut in Xiaomi’s 18 Fold in September. The announcement gives CXMT a public lead over Samsung Electronics and SK hynix in confirming both next-generation memory production and deployment in a commercial handset. Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun separately said the company’s Xring O3 processor would support CXMT’s LPDDR6.
