Spain's current account surplus increased to €2.41 billion in June from a revised €1.84 billion in May, according to the Bank of Spain. The improvement reflected stronger trade in goods and services and a continued positive primary income balance, including earnings from investments abroad. Tourism, machinery, vehicles and chemicals supported external performance. The new monthly figures differ from an earlier year-on-year comparison in the existing record, which reported a €2.41 billion June surplus against €5.33 billion a year earlier, alongside a lower goods and services surplus and a wider primary and secondary income deficit.
