Aerodrome, a decentralized exchange on Coinbase's Base blockchain, launched liquidity pools for tokenized Nvidia, Apple, Meta and Google shares on Aug. 24, enabling trading around the clock. The pools recorded roughly $103 million in cumulative volume during the initial period, with daily peaks of about $27 million. Weekend prices moved an average 0.39% and closely tracked traditional-market openings on Monday, suggesting the pools were capturing off-hours sentiment rather than merely producing random price movements. The tokenized equities, identified as NVDAc, AAPLc, METAc and GOOGLc, use Coinbase's B20 standard and are backed 1:1 by shares held in regulated custody under Abu Dhabi Global Market regulations. NVDAc launched with about $957,000 of initial liquidity, while Aerodrome's AERO token rose approximately 11% to around $0.53 after the announcement. Trading is currently limited to eligible users outside the United States. Aerodrome also partnered with Bankr, whose AI-powered tools manage liquidity in the pools, including concentrated positions that can be monitored and rebalanced within user-approved parameters. Earlier reporting placed the tokenized-stock launch on Base on Aug. 31, creating a discrepancy with the Aug. 24 launch date reported for Aerodrome's pools.
