KGI Financial Holding (2883.TW) reported first-half 2026 net profit after tax of NT$28.44 billion, approximately $897.5 million, with EPS of NT$1.64. Including NT$39.04 billion in realized stock-disposal gains at KGI Life, contribution to retained earnings reached a record NT$67.78 billion, approximately $2.1 billion. Book value per share rose 43.6% from NT$18.6 at the start of the year to NT$26.71 at end-June. KGI Securities posted NT$17.94 billion in profit, up 383% year over year, while KGI Life earned NT$9.2 billion and KGI Bank NT$4.28 billion, up 27%. President Yang Wen-chun said banking and securities units follow a 70% upstream-dividend principle and KGI Life’s ratio will rise significantly from last year’s 10%. Separately, Taishin Shin Kong Financial Holding reported NT$43.8 billion in first-half profit, up 329%, with banking, insurance and securities operations benefiting from merger integration and strong Taiwan capital markets.
