MEXC has launched its Global Card, a virtual Visa card that lets eligible users spend USDT through Visa, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Purchase fees are waived through September 30, 2026, before rates starting at 1% apply; issuance, annual and top-up fees are waived. Cashback ranges from 4% to 10% in USDT depending on users' VVIP status and M-Score, with monthly rewards capped at up to 800 USDT. Cardholders can also subscribe eligible USDT to a flexible MEXC Earn product offering annualized returns of up to 7%, separately from spending rewards. The yield feature faces a regulatory consideration in the European Union, where MiCAR Article 50 prohibits licensed providers from paying interest on regulated stablecoins. The card supports purchases of up to 80,000 USDT per transaction and 1 million USDT per day, but is unavailable to U.S. residents and other restricted jurisdictions. The launch follows growth in crypto-linked card activity, with monthly volume reaching $759 million in July 2026, compared with $306 million a year earlier, according to Paymentscan data cited by a16z crypto.
