T-Mobile is eliminating 77 jobs in Washington as part of a broader workforce and retail transformation, according to a WARN filing with the state. The layoffs are expected between Sept. 21 and Nov. 18 across Seattle, Bellingham, Bothell, Vancouver, Bellevue, Kennewick, Tacoma and Yakima, along with some remote positions. Affected roles include retail workers, engineers, managers, directors and other corporate employees. Local reporting indicates that six of the 13 Washington locations involved may close, including retail sites and T-Mobile's Canyon Pointe office in Bothell. The company began a workforce transformation in late 2025 to centralize teams, reduce management layers and remove overlapping roles, recording $141 million in related pre-tax charges in the first half of 2026. It also recorded $108 million in retail restructuring charges during the second quarter and said it continues to evaluate additional restructuring activity. T-Mobile shares closed at $181.37 on Friday, Aug. 28, gaining 2.63% and ending a four-session decline, before trading around $180.37 in Monday premarket trading, down roughly 0.55%. The company repurchased $7.1 billion of stock in the first six months of 2026, illustrating its simultaneous focus on restructuring, digital investment and shareholder returns.
