Former Ripple CTO David Schwartz exchanged criticism with a supporter of Bitcoin BIP-110 over a proposed Bitcoin hard fork. The plan would create a separate chain and replace Bitcoin’s SHA-256d proof-of-work (a mechanism securing the network through computational work) with BLAKE2b. The BIP-110 supporter said it was unfair to describe a separate chain opposing Bitcoin Core’s direction as an attack. Schwartz rejected that argument and responded, "listen to what you’re saying," U.Today reported.
