Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) raised its fiscal 2027 outlook after second-quarter results exceeded Wall Street expectations, with growth across its defense and civilian segments. Revenue rose 6% year over year to $1.88 billion, ahead of the $1.76 billion FactSet consensus and beating expectations by about 7.52%, while adjusted earnings per share fell 17% to $3.01 but surpassed the $2.31 estimate by more than 30%. SAIC lifted adjusted EPS guidance to $10.65-$10.75 from $9.90-$10.10, revenue guidance to $7.2 billion-$7.3 billion from $7 billion-$7.2 billion, and adjusted EBITDA guidance to $750 million-$755 million from $720 million-$730 million. The company affirmed free cash flow of at least $600 million. Organic growth was 5.3%, with about $20 million of quarterly revenue contributed by the SilverEdge Government Solutions acquisition. Defense and intelligence revenue rose to $1.45 billion from $1.37 billion, while civilian revenue increased to $431 million from $395 million. Estimated backlog was approximately $22.1 billion, including $3.8 billion of funded backlog, and net bookings were about $1.2 billion, producing a 0.6 book-to-bill ratio. Shares gained about 5.4% by the close after rising as much as 13.3% intraday. A price target on the stock was raised to $154 after the report, and Jefferies raised its target to $130 from $115.
