Pinterest is navigating the resignation of CFO Julia Brau Donnelly, a $2.2 million share sale by co-founder and Board Chair Benjamin Silbermann, and renewed pressure on its stock. Donnelly submitted her resignation on Aug. 26 to pursue another opportunity and will remain through Oct. 30 to support the transition. Pinterest said her departure does not reflect any disagreement over its operations, policies, practices or accounting principles. Vikram Naidu, 40, will become interim Principal Financial Officer on Oct. 30 while retaining his role as Vice President of Finance and Business Operations, which he has held since March 2024. The company has begun an external search for a permanent successor. Silbermann sold 93,750 shares on Aug. 25 and 26, 2026, through a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan at an average price of $23.55. Pinterest shares were trading 3.10% lower at $22.47 at the time of publication, after closing at $23.66 on Aug. 25 and falling 35% over the past year. Pinterest also appointed Renee Jewell Chief Accounting Officer effective Aug. 26. Baird kept a Neutral rating and a $26 price objective after the announcement. Second-quarter revenue rose 18% to $1.2 billion and monthly active users reached a record 640 million, but the company’s 13% to 15% third-quarter growth outlook trailed expectations.
