U.S. stocks traded lower on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down more than 300 points after the market opened. The Dow fell 0.61% to 53,232.50, the Nasdaq slipped 0.45% to 26,282.51 and the S&P 500 declined 0.48% to 7,675.08. Energy shares rose 2%, while communication services stocks fell 1.7%. Science Applications International Corporation (NASDAQ:SAIC) climbed about 7% after reporting second-quarter earnings of $3.01 per share, above the $2.31 analyst consensus estimate, and quarterly sales of $1.880 billion, ahead of the $1.766 billion consensus. The company also raised its FY27 guidance. Among other major movers, Collplant Biotechnologies Ltd – ADR (NASDAQ:CLGN) surged 97% to $0.71 after announcing a deal to acquire photonic computing firm LightSolver Ltd. Vivos Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:VVOS) jumped 81% to $0.41 after falling 13% on Friday, while Wetour Robotics Ltd (NASDAQ:WETO) gained 79% to $10.26 after declining 50% on Friday. Wetour recently announced an agreement with Rodman & Renshaw to sell up to $75 million of shares. FingerMotion Inc (NASDAQ:FNGR) dropped 35% to $0.26 after unveiling plans to expand into AI-focused data centers. Jupiter Neurosciences Inc (NASDAQ:JUNS) fell 28% to $3.00 after declining 15% on Friday; the company recently announced pricing for a $2.0 million registered direct offering. Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust Inc (NASDAQ:WHLR) fell 26% to $0.79. Oil rose 3.7% to $86.46, gold declined 0.6% to $4,503.70, silver gained 0.2% to $67.92 and copper rose 0.4% to $6.6870. European markets were mixed: the STOXX 600 fell 0.1%, Spain’s IBEX 35 rose 0.4%, London’s FTSE 100 rose 0.3%, Germany’s DAX declined 0.7% and France’s CAC 40 rose 0.1%. Asian markets closed mostly lower, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 down 0.14%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index down 0.07%, China’s Shanghai Composite up 0.86% and India’s BSE Sensex down 0.40%. The Dallas Fed manufacturing index was scheduled for release on Monday.
