Boeing and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace will resume contract negotiations on September 8 after union members overwhelmingly rejected Boeing's four-year contract offer on August 21. The union represents engineers and technical workers in Washington and other states. An internal survey found that members' top priority for Boeing's next offer is higher general wage increases. The two sides met on Monday to discuss restarting negotiations, while Boeing did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
