Hanwha, LIG Nex1 (now LIG D&A), Hyundai Rotem and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) were included in Defense News’ 2026 Top 100 Defense Companies ranking for the second consecutive year. Hanwha placed 16th, up six spots from 22nd, after recording $10.4376 billion in defense sales last year. Its defense sales rose from $6.8173 billion in 2024 to about $10.4 billion in 2025, accounting for 20% of total sales last year. LIG Nex1 ranked 52nd with $3.0292 billion in defense sales, while Hyundai Rotem rose six places to 61st. KAI fell eight places to 74th. Defense News, a U.S. defense and security specialist media outlet, bases the rankings on companies’ defense sales from the previous year. Lockheed Martin topped the list with $72.137 billion, followed by RTX, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Boeing, AVIC, L3Harris, Leonardo and Airbus.
