Chung Ho Group has named Choi Jin-hwan group CEO and president of Crystal Holdings Korea, its holding company, following Carlyle’s acquisition of the home appliance group in August. Choi will oversee strategy and growth while working with the leaders of Chung Ho Nais, Microfilter, MCM and Nais Engineering. Jeong Chang-kook was appointed CEO of Chung Ho Nais, Microfilter and MCM, while Jung Se-hyung will lead Nais Engineering. Carlyle had also appointed Choi as a senior advisor to its Asia advisory team, where he was to advise on investment opportunities in South Korea and the Asia-Pacific region and help enhance portfolio companies. Choi previously led Lotte Rental, SK Broadband, ADT Caps and Hyundai Life Insurance and has more than 30 years of experience across mobility, telecommunications, security and financial services. Carlyle said his market knowledge and execution capabilities would support its investment activities in South Korea and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
