The TRUMP memecoin team transferred about $26 million worth of tokens to BitGo amid a price rejection near $2.50 and weak buying interest, a shift framed as a strategic exit rather than routine profit-taking. On-chain reporting had shown a team-controlled address moving 11.01 million TRUMP valued at $26.65 million to an external wallet, now identified with that BitGo custody transfer, before depositing 2 million TRUMP worth roughly $4.78 million into Binance. Project-linked wallets have sent well over $150 million in TRUMP-linked tokens to exchanges since April, including a $32.8 million Binance transfer in June, liquidity-pool maneuvers that generated $3.39 million in USDC in August, and an earlier $17 million shift to Bitgo custody. A scheduled Sept. 18 unlock of 28.7 million TRUMP, about 2.9% of supply, is one of 34 releases through December 2027. TRUMP trades near $2.41 after falling about 96% to 97% from its January 2025 peak of $73.43, lagging broader market strength, while large exchange and custody moves continue to raise questions about near-term supply pressure.
