Indonesia recorded a $0.13 billion trade surplus in July 2026, defying expectations for a $0.3 billion deficit and marking its first monthly surplus in three months. Exports climbed 6.05% year-on-year to $26.2 billion, exceeding the 3.4% forecast but slowing from June’s 8.84% growth. Non-oil and gas exports rose 6.84% to $25.58 billion, while imports surged 27.02%, above the 24.1% estimate but below June’s 34.27% increase, amid higher oil prices. The July surplus compared with $4.13 billion in the same month last year.
