The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will open Sept. 9 at Shougang Park in Beijing, during the opening year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. Preparations are largely complete, Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong said at an Aug. 28 State Council Information Office press conference. The fair will focus on expanding opening-up, deepening cooperation and driving innovation, with about 90 countries and international organisations, more than 1,800 on-site enterprises and over 90 companies and institutions presenting new outcomes, including global debuts and China premieres. The program includes a new China Services exhibition zone, the Global Services Trade Summit, authoritative reports such as the China Services Trade Development Report and nearly 100 conference-style events. Organisers are also adding more than 100 business negotiation and promotional activities, a roadshow zone for companies expanding overseas, upgraded facilities at Shougang Park and visitor services spanning transport, dining and smart technology. China said it will use CIFTIS during the 15th Five-Year Plan period to cultivate new trade drivers, expand markets and develop new international competitive advantages for China Services.
