Lotte Group Chairman Dong-bin Shin sold 118,180 Lotte Shopping shares on the open market over three trading days, reducing his holding to 2,774,869 shares, or 9.81%, from 2,893,049 shares, or 10.23%. Shin said the disposal was intended to secure cash liquidity. A regulatory filing valued the completed sales at about 12.2 billion won ($8.4 million), while the existing transaction breakdown calculated approximately 12.65294 billion won using a volume-weighted average price of 107,065 won per share. The sale represents about 36.5% of Shin's planned disposal of 324,100 shares, or 1.15% of Lotte Shopping. The plan set the sale price at 130,400 won per share for total proceeds of 42.26 billion won; completion would reduce his stake to 9.08%. Lotte Shopping reported stronger first-half earnings, but Hana Securities and Heungkuk Securities lowered their target prices, citing valuation pressure, net debt and interest expenses.
