Renault Korea sold 4,261 vehicles in August, down 34.0% from a year earlier, as domestic sales fell 47.7% to 2,024 units and exports declined 13.6% to 2,237 units. The Grand Koleos drove the domestic weakness, with sales dropping 68.0% year over year to 929 units, followed by the Arkana at 575 and the Filante at 520. The Polestar 4 led exports with 1,232 units, while Arkana exports totaled 658 and Grand Koleos exports 346. Renault Korea produces the Polestar 4 under a contract manufacturing arrangement at its Busan plant. Cumulative sales from January through August fell 33.0% to 40,675 units. The company cited production and shipping schedule adjustments amid international instability and said it plans to pursue a rebound by securing additional export volume.
