Roche has secured exclusive worldwide rights to develop, manufacture and commercialise SIM0660, a trispecific antibody from Simcere Pharmaceutical’s oncology subsidiary Simcere Zaiming, in a deal worth up to $1.53 billion. The agreement includes a $75 million upfront payment and tiered royalties reaching double-digit percentages on future net sales. SIM0660 targets CD79a, CD19 and CD3 through Simcere Zaiming’s proprietary T-cell engager platform and is designed for B-cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases. Simcere previously said the drug was preclinical. Its Hong Kong-listed shares rose as much as 4.82% to HK$11.52 on Sept. 2, while the group said its six out-licensing deals now carry potential cumulative consideration exceeding $6.1 billion.
