Gate’s traditional finance, or TradFi, business ranked first among platforms tracked by RootData Research, with 1,022 assets as of Aug. 24—4.2 times the second-ranked platform’s total. Gate also led in stock derivatives, offering 366 underlying assets. Its TradFi trading volume reached $135.5 billion from January through August, while its August market share rose to 10.7%, ranking third globally. In stock derivatives, Gate scored 92.2 points and tied OKX for second place. From Aug. 1 to Aug. 24, its average daily open interest was $772 million, ranking third. Daily stock-contract trading volume grew month-on-month by 124.1%, 187.3%, 323.7% and 261.1% from May through August. Gate’s weighted depth within 2% of the market price also exceeded Binance’s for 11 consecutive trading days from Aug. 14, averaging $14.678 million. RootData said crypto TradFi is moving from a concentrated market toward multipolar competition, with platforms competing on asset coverage, liquidity and trading volume.
