Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev renewed speculation about the company’s memecoin strategy on Sept. 1, 2026, by responding with an ear emoji to an X post proposing memecoins on Robinhood. The reply identified no token, listing, launch date or new trading product, and Robinhood has not announced an expansion of its supported assets. Robinhood already offers Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Pepe, Bonk, Dogwifhat and other memecoins to eligible U.S. customers, with availability varying by location. The discussion follows the July 1 launch of Robinhood Chain, a permissionless Ethereum Layer 2 built with Arbitrum technology for tokenized assets and other applications. Arkham said the network generated $2.13 million in fees over one 24-hour period, with decentralized-exchange activity involving memecoins and tokenized equities driving much of the increase. Tenev has separately discussed possible products linking memecoins with tokenized stocks, including a potential airdrop concept, but no timetable or finalized offering has been announced.
