Broadcom reported fiscal-third-quarter revenue of $29.59 billion and adjusted earnings of $3.32 per share, exceeding Wall Street estimates, as AI semiconductor revenue rose 221% year over year to $16.7 billion on hyperscaler demand for custom chips and networking products. Chief Executive Officer Hock Tan said AI revenue could double to $115 billion in fiscal 2027 and again to $230 billion in fiscal 2028, representing about $350 billion in shipments over two years to six key hyperscaler customers, although he described the outlook as conservative because land, power, data-center shells, high-bandwidth memory and system memory could constrain deployments. Broadcom forecast fourth-quarter revenue of about $34.8 billion, slightly below estimates near $35 billion, sending shares down roughly 3% to 4% before the open as wider chip stocks also declined.
