  • Future 500 Initiative identified 100 Slovenian companies with potential to become global champions.
  • The companies’ combined revenues doubled to €2.1 billion.
  • Slovenia is the first country to receive the Future 500 methodology’s full pilot application.

Future 100 Slovenia has identified 100 high-growth companies whose combined revenues have doubled to €2.1 billion, using a data-led model developed to find potential global champions earlier. The pilot, unveiled at the Future 500 Forum in Bled, is intended to provide a blueprint for deployment across Europe as the European Union mobilizes up to €80 billion in scale-up investment through the European Investment Bank’s ETC 2.0. The Future 500 Initiative says capital alone is insufficient and proposes selecting, connecting and supporting companies with growth strategies, financing, markets and expertise. The methodology was developed by IEDC – Bled School of Management with researchers from Harvard, Oxford, the University of Edinburgh, ESMT Berlin and institutions across Central and Eastern Europe.
