U.S. optical communications stocks fell broadly in trading.
AXT dropped more than 8%, the steepest decline among the listed companies.
Broadcom fell nearly 2%, while Nokia, Corning and Fabrinet declined more than 3%.

U.S.-listed optical communications stocks fell broadly, led by AXT, which dropped more than 8%. Applied Optoelectronics, Marvell Technology and Astera Labs each declined more than 5%, while several other companies posted losses of 3% to more than 4%.
